On the main page (before logging in), click Change Contact Details and follow the on-screen steps.

What is Office 365?
NWU students can access Microsoft Office 365 for free while registered. This includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote using your <studentnumber>@mynwu.ac.za email address and NWU password.
How will Microsoft Office 365 benefit me?
You receive an Office 365 A1 licence, which provides free online and downloadable Office apps while you are a registered NWU student. The software can be installed on up to three devices (laptop, tablet, smartphone) and can be used offline.
How can I access Microsoft Office 365 on my laptop?
  1. Go to https://portal.office.com
  2. Sign in with your <studentnumber>@mynwu.ac.za email address and NWU password
  3. Click Install Office
  4. Select Office 365 apps
  5. Run the setup file and follow the prompts
  6. Open Office and sign in when prompted

Desktop download size: ±1GB (minimum 4GB free space required)

How can I download Microsoft Office 365 on a tablet or cellphone?
  1. Open the Play Store or App Store
  2. Download the Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive apps
  3. Sign in using your <studentnumber>@mynwu.ac.za email address and NWU password

Mobile package size: ±300MB (±500MB for multiple apps)

Requirements: Android 6.0+ | iOS 12.0+
