Drastiese veranderinge in Skotland se inkomste belasting:

• Middel-klas individue in Scotland gaan moontlik honderde ponde meer as die engelse volgende jaar moet betaal.
• Die Kanselier se planne is om die drumpel vir die 40p koers na £50 000 teen die einde van hierdie parlament  te verhoog.
• Die 40p koers drumpel word nie meer as die inflasie verhoog nie wat beteken dat hoë koers belasting betalers £177 minder in 2017/2018 as die toekomstige finansiële jaar hoef te betaal.
• Hoë koers belasting betalers sal 'n ekstra £323 volgende jaar moet betaal en dit sal verhoog word tot £817 teen 2021/2022.
• Die belasting verhoging sal lei tot 'n bydrae van £1 biljoen vir publieke dienste.

Verandering in lug-passasier belasting: 

• MSPs voted by 108 to 11 to replace Air Passenger Duty (APD) with a new devolved Air Departure Tax (ADT) in Scotland from April next year.
• The Scottish government wants to cut the new tax by 50%, before eventually scrapping it completely.
• APD currently raises about £300m in Scotland and £3bn across the UK every year.
• A report commissioned by Edinburgh Airport said halving APD would create almost 4,000 jobs and add £1bn to the Scottish economy by 2020 - and argued that failing to act could see Scotland lose out on nearly a million passengers every year.
• From 1 April this year, flights of 2,000 miles or less saw APD charged at £13 for passengers in economy class seats, and £26 for all other classes.
