Music is the world 's primary heartbeat and a kind of art that transcends all cultural boundries. I've always believed that music education is vital for a child ' s growth because it aids memory, reasoning, and attention. When I compare my knowledge, skills, experiences, and attitudes about music education from the beginning of the semester to the end of the seemester, I am blown away by how much this module has taught me about music education at the foundation phase. I ' ve learned how play-based music activities can help foundation phase students flourish. How appropriate teaching methods help in facilitating activities that learners are required to respond to music with non-locomotor and locomotor events in the unit that spoke about listening and responding to music in a nutshell my attitudes towards music education has grown. I am eager to learn more because learning is much more fun when the is music. What I learnt from individual reflection is that writting about a personal experiences is always a good way to help me understand and see where I can improve. At first I was skeptical thinking that I would not be able to express my views well, but I am grateful that I was able to see the importance of reflecting on what I learnt to broaden my understanding regarding module content. Because of this module I see music education differently, I now understand the value of musical play within multicultural classroom in the foundation phase. With my new profound knowledge I am certain that it will help me in the near future once I am qualified teacher.
