Good evening everyonesmiley I'm grateful that God he still keeping me alive. October it's been a hectic and busy month but through time management I'm able to over come everything. for me its very important to find balance between my work, studies, family time and fun time. I work on my Assignments immediately the first day I got it so that I can able to help mycheeky kid with his homework and school projectsenlightened and I can also have time to study and be ready for test and quizzes'.

Musical play in the foundation phase.

Part 1:

Characteristics of play:

studying this article that talks about  the characteristics of play, were I find it very fascination when they say play it's suppose to be fun, pleasurable to young learners.  The feeling must be satisfaction because of the achievement they get at the end of the day, the goals and running freely, exploring and learning new skills. The most important characteristics that they have listed are -play is active- were all play experience require some active involvement on the part of player. players supply meaning to play, play has no extrinsic goals,  and play is often nonliteral.

Part 2:

The important things a children can learn through play: 

- Discipline- they learn the rules of the game or play

- Working as a team - A sense of belonging and cohesion are enforced 

-Transformation- Musical play gives opportunities to undergo an imagination and fantasy . They can be anyone they what to be.
- Develops sense and sensibilities - They develop skills like following the beat, rhythmic patterns, intricate dance moves, kinesthetic sensibility dramatics skills and physical coordination.

Part 3

Play involves Music, songs, singing, storytelling, playing musical instruments, structured movement dance and involves theoretical  elements such as characterization tension and surprises.

During play learners are imitating the behavioral of others surrounding them. Play is a way of being and requires a certain state of mind of willingness and open-mindedness. In Education the aims of play is to teach and develop a certain behaviors like values, morals, having a healthy lifestyles and good social skills in a society.

Through play, a foundation phase learners develop cognitively by learning how to solve-problems on their own. By engaging in play activities. In cognitive abilities learners are able to classify, draw, sequences, discriminating  and observing throughout play (Brewer, 2007,p.148).
