As a Foundation phase teacher, I will certainly choose contemporary commercial music. The reasons behind my choice are quite simple. I would choose this because contemporary commercial music is found everywhere. Students have access to this music because that is what they hear in the movies and videos they watch. When students then come across this type of music, they will enjoy it and will find it really interesting. Students will also be able to sing along because of the fact that they are familiar with the song. 

I think that the examples and content for Study unit 2 are inclusive. It provides a wide variety of different examples and equips a student with the necessary information to understand what this Unit is about. 

I would suggest that the examples must be in all the foundation phase grades and not just for Grade one.
