This was very insightful, although I found it a bit difficult. This module totally surprised me. I struggled with Art Integration and Lesson planning, but learnt that I need to focus on CAPS and the outcomes with objectives. At the drop of a hat, I would make use of Music one day in my classroom. 

What could the possible reasons be that assessments is neglected in Performing Arts and Music in the Foundation Phase? 

•  In our school, Music is seen as an extra-curricular activity. 
• Parents tend to focus more on the academic part of the children and not on Music.
• Based on my experience, the older generation of teachers don't like to incorporate new ways and does not have the time due to the Daily Planning that needs to be done. 

I would tell my HOD what we're missing, and try to incorporate it into our daily planning. In regards to the older generation teachers, we as the new generation will help them to show how technology can assist with Music / learning.
