Playing is a vital part of child's growth. A child that plays becomes very active and gets to learn many things from others and it helps with self esteem. Playing is a vital element of learning as it involves mind and body. In early learning play promotes cognitive development and also social and emotional development. Hence in our culture they would say a child that does not play does not grow well. Playing also unleashes differnt capabilities or talents from individuals. There are three different types of play in children's culture which are traditional, original and open.

 

How do music games support holistic development.

When children are playing in the street they are doing it for fun however in the foundation phase games that are orchestrated by educators are not only meant to entertain leaners but it is to teach them while they are having fun. And this games are orchestrated in ways that it will stimulate children think critically and learn to solve problems
