The two theoretical approaches that will be discussed is conflict theory and symbolic interactionist 

Conflict theory it talks about the effects of inequality based on social class, race, gender. This theory believes that in order to reduce social inequality, certain measures should be undertaken so that people are equal and get equal opportunities. People with the higher ranks are the ones that benefit, resources become scarce the richer gets richer and the poor gets poor. On the other hand we have symbolic interactionist theory people come up with their own roles rather than the one that has been given to them by society. It's all about what you take from the next person, if your in a bad situation and you see someone with the same situation doing something wrong you also do the same bad thing. You copy that person's wrong doings, conflict theory talks about the effects of inequality while symbolic interactionist emphasizes on how one takes information from interacting with others and how social problems arise from just merely interacting with others, which is based on words and gestures.
