Good day all teacher students.

 My name is Marisa Gentle and I live in the beautiful Cape Town. I want to be a foundation phase teacher because it makes me happy to see learners learn something new each day, to see learners learn new skills that they will carry through the years .I'm excited about LSKM 221 this year to learn how to improve myself as a future teacher. My expectations of this module is how to use music more in the classroom.

Individual reflection of Study Unit 1

Working at a daycare has learned me that children of younger age learn so much faster when they sing and dance. That is why music and movement is so important for learners of younger age . Personally I will try to integrate music and movement into my lessons as much as possible.As stated above I would choose music and movement to meet the holistic development as much as possible because learners learn so much easier with movement and music .
