Heyy everyone!
Is it just me or is it scary to think it is almost Christmas!!! We are almost 3rd year students.
LSKM really taught me a lot this semester about the development of learners in terms of music and making it part of the class and teaching methods and even how make it part of other subjects in a very fun way. This has made me look with other eyes to music in education and why it is so important. Being able to learn that music is a component in the learning process and developmental process.
Completing the blogs made me realize all the different types of people we have in our group and how each one incorporate, learn work and how each one makes an effort with the blogs. It helped me get new ideas of incorporating music and learn new ideas.
It was a challenge to summarize all the work because I found a lot of points really important and some points should be in each teacher to do, a teacher will only benefit for it and it will help them to become the best they can be. It will also ensure all the necessary work is handled and it is done correctly.
I would have liked it if there was a little more practical examples of what is learned and how to make it part but in a practical manner.
I really enjoyed that each student was open to opinions and content and all of them was ready to help and to answer questions.
Lovely week for all.
Hey everyone!
I hope all of you are still well and that all is still safe and healthy.
Arts integration is admittedly not a waste of your time in my opinion. From my point of view, I see it a positive aspect and a benefit for learners. Music helps learners to specific their feelings and themselves and that they become tuned in to what the music concept is and what it's about. When arts integration takes place it helps learners with teamwork, enhance communication skills, language skills and problem-solving skills. Arts integration are often defined because the approach to teaching during which students demonstrate and construct understanding through a style of art.
I found the worth of arts integration very interesting. It showed the importance to embrace diversity, like each child has their own talents and that they should discover it. After we make art a part of our classroom it helps the leaners with problem-solving and mutual respect for friends. I learned that music brings children together on a full different level than the other subject. It helps learners to develop holistically what's the goal at the tip.
The theoretical framework for arts integration I found as a challenge. Why I say so is because I never knew there's like 6 ways during which music are often made a part of a classroom. That it's its own categories it's cut up in. It includes learning and teaching about, from, on, with and thru music. I don’t think people comprehend the large role music plays in anyone or learners live and it can only have a positive impact on a learner. It made me want to understand more about the concepts and find ways to be able make it a part of my everyday teaching style.
Till next time
