Hi, my name is Abigail Holliday. I am a single mom and have a beautiful daughter called Aurora. We live in a small town called Paulpietersburg in the KZN province. I am currently teaching at a Pre-Primary School, I teach Grade RRR. I am very passionate when it comes to children, and I love teaching them and seeing them progress. The reason why I chose to study FP is because I would like to have a teaching degree so that I can teach all children in the Foundation Phase and not be limited to only teaching ECD children. I would like to further my education degree; I find cognitive development very interesting and I would like to eventually obtain a doctorate in that field. I am a very 'artsy' person and love brining in creativeness in any subject. I am passionate about art, music and literature. I love being creative and also love to see the smile on the children's faces once they have created something or learnt something new. I am very excited about this module and can not wait to learn new things regarding Music in the Foundation Phase. I expect this module to be fun and insightful and can't wait to see my progress throughout this semester. Ill end off with one of my favorite quotes: "It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge" - Albert Einstein
