Part 1:
This week was okay I came back from Holiday in Cape Town so I had to say goodbye to my family. I did miss my Fiancee and animals so it was lovely to see them. I am feeling a little bit overwhelmed with my work load, but are starting to work in all areas little by little so that I don't fall behind.
Part 2:
It was interesting for me to read that children start to associate sound with symbols around the age of 5, and that is why they can start reading music notes from the ages of 6. I also read how important music activities is for the whole body, because when they move to music they use gross movement and hand eye coordination, and mid line crossing. Music is also very good for listening skills.
Part 3:
I myself feel confident in teaching music, but still feel their is some areas where I can improve. I am always up for a challenge. I would rather teach music then physical education. Their is so many parts of the child holistic development learning that happens through the interaction with peers through music. Study unit 1 was very interesting, and I think music is so diverse that you can corporate it in to any subject to make it more fun and enjoyable for the learners.
