At the beginning of the semester, I was not at all aware of the positive aspects that were attached to music and art teaching. I picked up more knowledge as I worked through each study unit. Now that I have worked through all the study units, I know that teaching music and art is one of the most important subjects. It is the foundation or the roots that will lead to the success in other learning areas as well.

I really enjoyed the individual reflections. It also motivated me to work through each study unit and then give my feedback and opinion. It was also interesting for me to read the other students' individual reflections and see what they came from.

I really enjoyed this learning area and did not really struggle with anything. What I did struggle with was submitting the blogs. There was a bug on efundi and it made the whole process difficult and uncertain for me/

I found the individual reflections very useful. It was like a reflection of each study unit for me. It's fun for me to go back and read my reflections and to see how I have grown over time.

I would like the blogs to be more accessible in the future, but here it was only technology to blame.

What I found interesting was how music and art integrate with other subjects. I also found it interesting to see that there are so many ways to give learners an outlet for their emotions, but also to learn to work with other learners and overcome their fears.

What is challenging is to motivate other teachers to incorporate music into subjects. Some of the understand the positive outcomes music integration can have, but some not. I found all elements and learning units valuable to my future learning practice.
