Decided to do my blog on study unit 4 today as well. We are on holiday, so we have a bit more time.

Arts integration in education;

Arts integration is the cognitive pathway toward reaching and teaching every child. It empowers teachers in their personal growth. It is an approach to teaching and learning through which content standards are taught and assessed equitably in and through the arts. 

When art is integrated with education, it helps the learner apply art-based enquiry, investigation and exploration, critical thinking and creativity for a deeper understanding of concepts. 

It helps learners to develop creative problem-solving skills, motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision-making skills, risk-taking skills and inventiveness. 

We integrate art into the classroom with role playing, visual arts, encouraging speaking, listening, clarifying thoughts, ideas and feelings.
