Good morning, I am Eldorese Keogh I am 21 years old.

I grew up in a small town in the Free State called Kroonstad. I am currently working at a primary school as a student teacher. It is a great opportunity to learn in the practice.

 From a very young age I already knew that I wanted to become a teacher one day. I am people’s person and I love to make a difference in someone’s life especially children. Teaching is my definitely my biggest passion. I live by the quote that says, “be the change you want to see in the world”. I have a rainbow heart, that goes out to everyone that needs my help and wants to learn new things.

I come from a very creative family, my father is artist and a photographer.  The creative aspect of teaching is my ideal lifestyle. It helps me to go above and beyond my comfort zone and challenge me and I am sure that is what LSKM  221 will mean for me. I think I will learn new ways to implement arts and music into the curriculum. I am firm believer of creativeness in the curriculum it helps learners to grow and learn in new ways. You cannot expect a foundation phase learner to learn from a book you have to implement gross motor skills into the curriculum. Children learn with their bodies and visual is very important as well.

I am uncertain of the groupwork of this module. Groupwork is not my strong attribute, because I am introvert.  It is very difficult for  me to communicate with my fellow ODL students whom I have never met. I am very excited to learn new ways to teach and knowledge I can keep for the rest of my life.

Everyday has a new opportunity to succeed.
