The participatory development includes that members or beneficiaries take part from the inception stage to the implementation of the development intervention. This developmental approach allows the people to grow their own capacity and self-reliance. It is also useful as a model of communication between the members and stakeholders. However, there are issues like limited capacity and inappropriate technological development. Development initiatives in SA are achieved by the use of UNESCO's Finding a Voice Project, for example.
