Study Unit 4!

I certainly don't believe that arts integration is a waste of time in Foundation Phase education. Integrating arts in the foundation phase opens up a whole new world for a child to explore themselves and learn concepts in a fun way. Arts are not always about drawing, singing, or dancing. It serves to help learners learn in a fun and interesting way. Using a song to learn students about new mathematics concepts will help them to understand, recall and remember what they learned.

Study Unit four had a lot of interesting information to learn about, as well as ways for me to incorporate arts in my classroom one day. Study unit four also consisted of the benefits of an integrative approach and ways in which art integration promotes a positive learning environment and supports holistic development.

What I found challenging in this Study unit is that there was a lot of information to take in and everything is important so I had to concentrate and take in all the information at once.
