I am passionate about helping other people, in this case, helping learners.
How do you feel about LSKM 221 now, at the start of the semester?
I feel great about LSKM. I am looking forward to expanding my mind with new knowledge and skills.
What are your expectations for this module?
I expect to learn a lot of skills and knowledge that will enable me to think critically and creatively, and help other people.
Part 1
I feel well. My week has been wonderful. I have been indoors in my bedroom, the space I love the most. Otherwise, I have been going through the resources of this module, trying to familiarize myself with the content and the site.
What inhibited my learning this week is house chores, unexpected visits from friends, and lack of time management. The other one is this saying that we always use, " I will do it later".
Part 2
I became aware of musical development in the foundation phase ,(music skill concepts, and specific development). The other thing is music and the holistic development of foundation phase learners.
What was significant for me is music development.
Part 3
The value of the content of this study unit will allow me to introduce music skills to learners and have them participate in music related activities to master the skills. For example, the skill of responding to sound, or music.
What did you find interesting? Please explain why.
Teaching and learning about music. This aspect is interesting because it exposes learners to different music concepts and expands their knowledge. Learners engage in different music activities that includes listening to songs to identify music concepts such as tempo, instruments, and dynamics.
What did you find challenging? Please explain why.
Teaching and learning on music. This aspect is challenging because it focuses on learning about music concepts through active engagement. Learners sing, do body percussion, and play instruments. The learning activity is determined by the music.
