Study Unit 2

Hi everyone!

This week was quite intense with all the work load and tests upon us, but we can do it! We should just also support one another when we can!

Study Unit 2 was quite interesting learning about inclusiveness in the classroom. How I can make my classroom open to all different cultures during music even learners that fall on the spectrum. This information is very useful, and I am sure I will be able to use this in the future.

Individual Reflection:

1. I would use more contemporary commercial music. I think the lessons will be fun if the learners know the songs that I introduce to them, and especially if they can move and dance to it. Out of experience as a teacher I know that learners like to dance to music they are familiar to especially if it reminds them of home, and the people they are surrounded by.

2. I don't have any problem with the content of this unit. I think it was inclusive enough there was videos and typed content which is good.

If  I look back at my experience as a teacher I had quite a good experience with my previous class of little ones in the teaching of music. I know that if you want to have a good experience with a music lesson you should be well prepared, and also know where all your music are, because as we all know as soon as the learners wait for you, they start to get naughty.

Know what you want to teach, and also keep it simple. Sometimes  the children just want to dance and that is also ok I think.
