I learned a lot about music as a Lskm 221 student since we focused solely on music from the beginning to the end of the semester. I used to think I knew what music was, but after taking this module, I'm not so sure. I used to think I knew a lot about music, but now I think I'm pretty well-equipped with new information about music education.
What I found tough was that several concepts, particularly music principles, were difficult to grasp and implement, particularly the music game.
Individual reflections were meaningful to me, yes? Because I was able to determine which topics I knew more about and which ones I needed to study more about and concentrate on.
What I found fascinating was, of course, learning content and expressing my opinions with others (group members)
Music and play in the foundation period is extremely important since it influences and benefits learners in a variety of ways, to name a few. Supports cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth and development.
You are absolutely right I also thought I knew what music was, but now I see that I was only referring to the finished song when I was referring to music, this module introduced me to technical aspects of music and how easy it is to fuse the concept of music and play, I always knew that children learn through play but I never knew how easy music makes it to be not to mention fun.
Reflecting on my progress has been very helpful for me in a way it gave me a chance to know my strengths and weaknesses and what I needed to do to overcome those weaknesses.
Working in groups can be difficult at times but creating that music video made it all fun. This semester I learned the importance of music in a learners education.
