There is reciprocation and social networks in our everyday lives. I do believe that I have created relationships that have built me or have helped to reach most of my goals. The relationships that I have created are very important as they form part of my everyday life.
I have friends, family members and classmates that form part of my social networks, we often reciprocate a lot of things like helping each other with school work as classmates or maybe as family members when one member of the family is out to work to put food on the table, there is absolutely someone back at home that will make sure that the house is clean and food is cooked.
I live at a school residence and I have developed some friendships , we usually help each other out in terms of food or even when we need particular things like mirrors or even a simple thing as a comb and that is how reciprocation comes about in my social networks.
Social capital means shared values that enables individuals to work together to effectively reach a common goal or even to obtain resources from ones personal connection. Social capital comes in so many ways, I for one started my own perfume business through information I had recieved from my sister. She knew a person that was selling perfumes and she then made sure that she will find all the information that I would need so that I can begin selling. She literally made it easy for me to reach ,y goal of making money through my gap year. There is also linking social capital whereby relationships can be formed in any hierachal level. My mother has a relationship with a senior at her job that helps her out from time to time with the work that is handed to her. The senior lady also does tell my mom whenever there are posts at her working place, that she could apply for. Social capital relationships can be formed literally everywhere.
In conclusion, forming relationships is very important as those people can be your help on a day that you might need them.
