LESSON 1 REFLECTION- THE FOUR
1. The main purpose of this study unit is for us students to learn about the origin of the universe. The universe origin is explained with different theories of scientists. The Big Bang theory being one of the theories we focused on in this unit. We were opened to scientists/astronomers like Johannes Kepler, Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton etc. each contributing to the knowledge we have of the universe now. We learned of Johannes Kepler’s laws of planetary movements. Most importantly the “hierarchy of the universe” , how a galaxy is larger than a solar system and the universe is everything …al the galaxies and solar systems, asteroids, moons and meteorites. Earth located in the Milky Way galaxy and characteristics of terrestrial and Jovian planets. This all was important for us to learn as students for us to not just be able to write the exam. But for us to have more knowledge before we go to teach our learners planetary geography.
2. I found the part interesting of learning all the scientists and when they contributed theories and laws and inventions to the universe.
3. Memorising and being able to explain laws for example Kepler’s laws of planetary movements.
