Church in my home.

I specifically belong in a black South African ethnic group, and I grow in a home whereby we would go to church every Sunday and all of us would were long dresses whether you are a male or female. If we ask our grandparents, they will say that's a way of representing the body of Christ and it's an appropriate dress code in front of the Lord.  We got used to that and every Sunday since it's the sabbath day according to us we were not supposed to do anything or perform any rituals. It was a day of rest whatever that you do you should do it for Christ. We kids were not allowed to play, do laundry, or be busy with schoolwork during the sabbath day. The only thing we will do is to spend 8 hours of the day at church and come back, pray as a family, eat and go to sleep.

We were also taught to behave in certain ways for example, you should forgive a person seven times seven a day and you should normalize to love all you enemies as you love yourself. This really shaped my worldview because I didn't look to others in a different way, but we were all equal as we are all equal in the house of the Lord, it also helped me to understand that we should not judge people but be kind to everyone and show respect.
