The North-West University arguably has the best sports institute in the country, so playing recreational sports would be a dream for any sports lover but it is not as easy as it looks , you can't just play or be in the institute as it is not inclusive to everyone which is a negative because some people want to participate but are not allowed , especially when you don't live on campus res' , people that live in private accomodations are often excluded from alot of activities because the exposure is not that much but most people from private accomodations want to participate in these activities because these add to improving a person's well-being but they have to do alot to be considered and personally it should not be like that, instead more exposed and more inclusive but on a positive note the university does try with other activities like drama, revive and open days to name a few but that is not enough. The varsity does develop alot of students who want to be sports start, from rugby to athletics , the varsity has one of the best athletes compared to other universities, so you could say they are doing a very good job in meeting development needs of alot of sports students. We obviously have to separate those from just recreation because they are doing it competitively but the varsity could be inclusive and provide for students who want to play for the fun and love. Compared to alot of overseas varsities and colleges , NWU offers alot of Sports and recreation activities but not as much as overseas based varsities, for example the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom has hundreds of student clubs and societies, societies for community and charity, dance , the environment, faiths and religions, politics and much more. Compared to the North-West University, there is an extensive sports scene at Cambridge to suit all ability levels with more than 80 sports on offer. One of the advantages of being a Collegiate University is how easy it is for students to get involved with sports at any level. There are College teams for novices and experts, as well as the University teams that represent Cambridge against other universities and club teams. Another college/university is Florida State University in Tallahassee,USA. The university's College of Education offers bachelor's and master's programs in recreation and leisure services administration. Study areas include leisure education and research, counseling and recreation. Graduates should be ready to handle professional responsibilities associated with resort and recreational centers. It is similar but offers more and promotes inclusivity and alot of recreation. The last university/college is Bowling Green State University in Bowling in Ohio. The university offers majors in tourism, leisure & event planning and sport management.Students can also enter into the university's School of Human Movement, Sport and Leisure Studies. Through this HMSLS department, undergraduate and graduate degree programs are offered in athletic training, exercise science, physical education, and sport management and training, among other areas of study. So it does much more to promote recreation and cater to students needs which is very good. So the NWU does do alot for recreation but I believe they can do much better
