Ascribable to the environment I grew up in and the history between black and white people I was bound to perceive that I would never coexist with white people because they would never be fond of me.Fortunately I had a chance to bring my thoughts into reality when I had to go to a multiracial high school.

For the first week I isolated myself from white children and only limited myself to interacting with only black children.Amazingly one day a white pupil came to me when I was all alone and asked if he could join me and I agreed.I was shocked and thought that I was day dreaming,from then we became the best of friends even now we still friends.

I also had a horrible experience learning in the first weeks because I never participated in class and even when I had a question or did not understand  a specific topic I would never ask my teachers.After attending a couple of classes I realized that our teachers treated us the same the was no exceptions or better treatment for white pupils and that made me enjoy every lesson which made me excel in all my subjects.

In ratiocination the time I spent with white people changed my perspective towards them and made me realize that I was being stereotype and at the same time living in the past because the concept of racism exists in the past with our forefathers and is time for us to move on.
