Stereotypes about men and women

10 Mar 2024, 21:44 Publicly Viewable

Men have been forced to conform to a traditional and society view of what being a man looks like.

Men are aimed to be stronger ,unemotional , dominant, and in control .

I for one once worked in a construction company(as a woman) ,of which this is a job for for ''MEN'' .I  was treated unfairly and unworthy just because Iam a woman doing a '' men's job''. i earned a low salary because it is believed that a women should earn lesser than a men regardless of their individual qualifications . I had a certificate for this construction job and i had received many accolades for excellent performance in my previous job. This was valid enough for me to earn a much better salary than other employees and regarding the job that i was doing . Due to gender stereotype i did not earn a rightful salary.

Traditionally , women should work in the kitchen , babysit children and that's all ,they are not allowed to work it is, unauthorized. Men are bound to be providers, this has caused a huge strain on a lot of men which often cause a lot of men to feel pressure and some also lead to death because of the high expectations obliged to them.
