Blog Reflection: How My Worldview Is Shaped by My Endogenous Beliefs
Members/People of every racial or ethnic group are hugely shaped by the richness of teachings and beliefs that are held within them. Upon sight of my own experiences, I see how i view the world has been greatly guided by two specific beliefs that are inherent to my ethnic background.
1. The Interdependence of Community The value of community and interdependence is one of the fundamental lessons instilled in my ethnic group. I learned early in life that a person's well-being is closely linked to the well-being of their community. The emphasis on group responsibility, mutual support, and community support is a manifestation of this belief. In family get-togetherness, for example, everyone pitches in for the meal, helps with the preparation, and makes sure everyone is welcomed and taken care of. By involving neighbors and the larger community in addition to family, this practice builds a network of support that makes sure no one is left behind. This instruction has helped me develop a strong sense of social responsibility and teamwork, which has changed the way I see the world. It has made me realize the value of
examining my actions' effects on people around me in addition to my own success. More broadly, it has affected my approach to leadership and problem-solving, emphasizing group solutions that are inclusive rather than personal benefits. I work to create and contribute to communities that value interconnections and mutual support because I recognize the strength that comes from working together.
Treating elders with respect and cherishing traditions is another deeply held belief in my ethnic group. I have learned to respect the knowledge and experiences of previous generations since I was a small child. Decisions of great importance are sought advice from elders, who are revered as the keepers of cultural knowledge and history. When we ask them for advice, listen to their stories, and make sure they are comfortable and well, we are demonstrating our respect for them.
My respect for continuity and history has been greatly shaped by this belief. It has made me realize how important it is to preserve cultural traditions and the worth of learning from the past. This viewpoint grounds me in a world that is changing quickly by giving me a sense of continuity and stability.
To conclude, my worldview has been greatly influenced by my ethnic group's teachings of community interdependence and respect for elders. They taught me the value of well-being for the whole community, social responsibility, and respect for tradition. In order to keep me rooted in my history while addressing contemporary issues, these beliefs direct my behavior and interactions. That made become who i am today and my respectful trait to either old people or my peers.
