Everyone should be able to embrace her or his language in literature. The misuse of language in literature leads to people creating differences among themselves. The results of creating differences are through harmful activities such as othering, stereotypes, exoticization, misinformation, and distortion.

They viewed Africa as a country, while it had 54 countries in it. That was unfair to the people of Africa, that was stereotype. They had that image of Africans starving to death, meanwhile that was not the truth. Africa is very advanced in technology and one of the wealthiest continents. Africa was not counted as a place where people can live and survive. They imagined Africans as wild animals which eat things that other humans do not. They made it seem like they should be the ones who can manage Africa. They only had one single story of Africans which is poverty. It was like Africans cannot take care of themselves. They excluded themselves from the blacks, in their mind they were not similar in any way.

They described the western practices as strange and weird. The ceremonies may help or not help the sick natives get better.The witch doctor was known to help those who are bewitched. The danger of a single story

The blacks could also exist in literature. Western people do not imagine Africans as people who also could learn or know english. Africans are portrayed as people who cannot use technology or know anything about it. Having only one side of a story makes you lack information about the person you have on. Do not judge a book by it's cover, without knowing what is on the inside. You can never know someone's creativeness since you only apply othering on people.Mexicans were only known to do silly things not knowing that they can work hard in order to feed themselves.

 

Changing Your channel

They impose Africa as poorer and very hard to survive, meanwhile they are taking the wealthness from africans. The gold and platinum they have is from Africa. There are organisation which run an advertisement campaigns which are meant to help those in need. There are people giving donations hoping to help those in need. Those in charge of these organisations tempt with the donations, corruption is happening there. They are running those organisations for their own gains not caring about the innocent one's who have nothing. Greed can lead to someone's suffering. I believe that if someone can see potential in you, then there's nothing will stop you from achieving your goals. There were street kids that we orphans,they had no-one only themselves. They met Bart-williams who then changed their life around and set their lives on a clean slate. She saw potential in them and managed to push through by realising their dreams. They are now successful because of Mallence. Someone who is not your family by blood can also become your family

 

Conclusion

We could promote languages in literatures by telling stories and embracing diversities. Having a single story about someone is what causes othering. You can never be late to start again and become successful. Not everyone have access to daily needs such as food, it's only fair to share with them
