The most common misconceptulization of identical twins is that they have the same characteristics and interests. Regardless of identical twins having exactly the same genetic make up It doesn't mean they share the same personalities or interests. The environment they grow up in shapes their personality traits.

The distortion regarding twins is the confusion between identical and fraternal twins . is that people often assume that every type of twin comes from the same fertilized egg . .Only identical twins share a fertilized egg but fraternal twins come from two separate fertilized eggs

The common stereotype people have against identical twins is that they are equal in terms of intelligence. It is common that one twin brain is on the left sided and the other twin brain is right sided, so basically, one twin is more artistic and the other is more factual.

In certain cultures, people believe that they must perform a certain number of rituals to ensure the safety of twins.

A sense of otherness is created when people make assumptions that identical twins share everything, resulting in the assumption that identical twins are inseparable and they communicate telepathically. People must not forget that, regardless of twins being identical, they have different personalities and different interests.

In conclusion, stereotypes and misconceptions built against twins, most precisely, identical twins, will lead to an adequate number of people being in great disapproval of them. The stigmatization against twins will rapidly increase if the exoticization against them doesn't decrease. However, it is most important to realize that twins are individual people with different personality traits.
