They are two ways that we believe in as South Africans that shape worldview and passed down to future generations. They affect family, community and our believes. As South Africans we believe in different teachings/beliefs, as a black person the old Zulu nation believe that women should stay at home watch kids, clean and cook only but men should work for their family but now in the new generation its 50/50 what men can do women can do it better.

The Zulu people celebrate an annual event that was established in 1984 called Umhlanga or Reed dance. This event take place at royal capital near Nongoma every year, that really affect young girls that are not virgins anymore they kill themselves because they are scared of their family. But at the end they show us respect, empathy and compassion and able to connect with others as humans, able to support each other. The culture of Zulu people we most believe in the ancestors more, because they play a huge role in our lives by protecting us e.g. if a person in your home have got a job or something that is great happened in their live, we thank the ancestors by killing a goat, cow and thank them.

Teachings and beliefs we have a root connection of Ubuntu, where we learn to communicate with people and teach us where we come from who we are and respect. We have five core values of Ubuntu identified by Mbigi [1997:3] survival, spirit of solidarity, compassion, respect and dignity as Zulu people we value our dignity so much. The thing that kills Zulu people is that we believe in our self only not depend on anyone else when they are sick, they go to traditional healers not medical doctors because they don't believe in them.

All in all, Zulu people they really respect their culture and value their customs so much. That make my worldview by teaching me more how to value others and pay them respect. Those believe make me how I am today, and I really appreciate that and preserving my family honor through my behavior and decisions.
