A day in my life.

I start my day by opening my eyes, I wake up by seeing the sun shining into my room, I hear the birds singing in the trees, I smell my mom’s delicious pancakes in the kitchen, and I feel my soft blanket that’s keeping me warm. I stretch my arms above my head and take a deep breath, ready to seize the opportunities that lies ahead for me that day. I drink my warm cup of coffee my mom made me when se came and woke me up, I drink it sip for sip because it usually is steaming hot.

After waking up I walk to my closest and decide what to wear that day, then I go to the bathroom I brush my teeth 2 minutes on the top and 2 minutes on the bottom. I wash my face with all my different face washes and then do my makeup, and decide what earrings fit my outfit for the day. I then spend my time with the Lord before I go to my first class.

I then drive to campus and attend my classes I have to attend that day. After my classes I go back home and make myself some lunch, usually something big because all the classes drained me. After I ate lunch, I do my study time, I go through the work I did that day and just summarise it again to make sure I remember everything. Then I prepare for my classes I will be having tomorrow. A cup of chia tea is a necessity when i’m doing my work.

After that I put on my gym clothes and drive to my friends house, I pick her up and we always stop at the Plato coffee shop before we go to gym and grab a smoothie, the peanut butter banana honey and oats one is my ultimate favourite. We then do our session in the gym.

When our gym session is done I drop my friend again, and go back home. I usually help my mom with dinner, and help my little sister with the homework she didn’t finish at school that day. I take a bath after that and put on my warm fluffy pyjamas and then go sit for dinner with my family. Sharing what we experienced that day is my favourite part.

Before I go to bed I brush my teeth and then do my Bible Study again. I then say my prayers and thank the Lord for another day. I get into my bed I close my eyes and then find my perfect boyfriend in dreamland.

stereotyping

I would define stereotype as having a particular belief or image over people but most of the time it's unfair. I had this belief that all rugby boys are arrogant, disrespectful and just over all idiots. The reason therefore is because I have met so 2 guys in particular that had these judge egos and thought so much about themselves i could barely have a conversation with them. They made me feel like I wasn't worthy enough to talk to them , they made me feel like I was such a waste of their time. And because of 2 childish boys , they gave me no other choice but to think that every rugby guy is the same ! They all think the world owe them something and that drives me CRAZY !!!!! So ironically enough , one day I met this guy , yes he is a rugby player , and no he wasn't arrogant or anything like that , instead he was the complete opposite of what a rugby player was supposed to be according to me. He was gentle, sweet, respectful, humble and the list goes on. And from that day I realized that it's completely unfair of me to shave everyone under the same comb. Who am I to judge you even before I know you. And I didn't realize I was busy stereotyping , I genuinely thought that my image and believe was correct and valid till someone proved me wrong. it's very easy to stereotype , but it's also very easy to change your point of view and the perspective from which you look at something or someone. You should just be able to drop your haughtiness and give every person individually the opportunity to prove themself to you and only then can you form your own opinion about them.
