This is a Foundational Physics course that runs for the whole year.

Classes

Classes will either be

  1. Online through Microsoft Teams. Click here to join, or

Prescribed Text Book

The official Textbook is The Fundamentals of Physics (10th Ed) by Hilladay and Resnick

 

Assessments 

  1. Theory Tests (60% WA)
    • Test 1 covers Ch 1-4
    • Test 2 covers Ch 5-7(25 May 2023)
    • Test 3 covers Ch 8 - 13(12 October)
    • Test 4 covers Ch 1-19 (11-01-23) check schedule here
  2. Practicals (20% WA). Go to the "site info" menu and select joinable group or click here to select a group to work with 
    • Experiment  1  - Motion on a straight line
    • Experiment  2  - Hooke's Law
    • Experiment  3  - Falling object
    • Experiment  4  - Length of a pendulum
  3. Assignments(15% WA)
    • Assignment 1 covers Ch 1-4
    • Assignment 2 covers Ch 5-7(23 May 2023)
    • Assignment 3 covers Ch 8 - 13
    • Assignment 4 covers Ch 14 - 19 (01 November 2023 @ 09:00am)
