Aria Classes

Working on, and crafting your skills as an interpreter of different repertoire
Working towards the understanding that studying music as a singer is a multi-layered process

Here are some examples of masterclasses that would be similar to the aria classes we will be presenting:

Improvisation Classes

Developing acting skills beneficial to the interpretation of art song/arias
Working towards developing stage craft skills - allowing you to deliver authentic perfromances
Working towards moving away from your comfort zone, adn discovering what your potantial is as an actor

On completion of this module the student should demonstrate:

Basic knowledge of and engagement in Ensemble studies;
The ability to adhere to the appropriate ensemble protocol and specified performance practice;
The ability to operate as part of an ensemble with the view to successfully perform an ensemble work.

Participation Mark:

Continuous assessment:

eFundi assessments throughout the semester ( self-recordings, translation assignments, reflection assignments)

Performance Mark:

You will be assessed during perfromances / dress rehearsals / final rehearsals on lyric diction, style, your ensemble ability, accuracy of tones/pitches/, and your ability to follow instruction from the conductor.
