Improvisation Classes

  • Developing acting skills beneficial to the interpretation of art song/arias
  • Working towards developing stage craft skills - allowing you to deliver authentic perfromances
  • Working towards moving away from your comfort zone, adn discovering what your potantial is as an actor 

Module Outcomes

On completion of this module the student should demonstrate:

 

  1. Basic knowledge of and engagement in Ensemble studies;
  2. The ability to adhere to the appropriate ensemble protocol and specified performance practice;
  3. The ability to operate as part of an ensemble with the view to successfully perform an ensemble work.

Assessments

Assessments:

 

Participation Mark:

  • attendance and participation in class

Continuous assessment:

  • eFundi assessments throughout the semester ( self-recordings, translation assignments, reflection assignments)

Performance Mark:

  • You will be assessed during perfromances / dress rehearsals / final rehearsals on lyric diction, style, your ensemble ability, accuracy of tones/pitches/, and your ability to follow instruction from the conductor.
