Dear students

Please take note of the following important arrangements.

 

1. Module name

This module has two different module names. In the recordings for the theory sections, both groups will be addressed. In the contact classes on campus you will be grouped according to the programme you chose to study at the NWU.

  • ICAT111 is the module name for the students in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences.
  • IURX113 is the module name for the students in the Faculty of Law.

 

2. Composition and presentation

Each unit has two sections:

  • (a) The theory of each unit will be available as a recording.
  • (b) The application and practice of each unit will be a contact class on campus.

 

3. Timetable and groups

  • The big group is divided into class groups. Make very sure that you join the correct group.
    • go to Resources
    • access 1. Timetable & groups (click on the red hyperlink for a shortcut to the file)
    • find your programme that you study
    • take note of when you have contact class on campus
    • take note of your group name
    • take note of who your primary lecturer is
    • make sure you know where to join the contact class on campus
    • you will find each lecturer's contact details under Lessons - Lecturer  information on this eFundi site

 

4. Workbook

  • The complete workbook is available under Resources, but each week you will also have access to the relevant sections of the workbook in the Lesson.
    • go to Resources
    • access 2. ICAT111 Workbook  (click on the red hyperlink for a shortcut to the file)

 

5. Module plan and lecturer information

  • The module plan and the details for the contact classes on campus for the different groups will be available to you from Monday, 20 February.
    • the module plan will be under Resources, then access 3. Module plan (click on the red hyperlink for a shortcut to the file)
    • you will find each lecturer's contact details under Lessons - Lecturer  information on this eFundi site

 

6. Clashes on the timetable

  • There should not be any clashes as we follow the formal timetable of the university.
  • If it happens that you do have a clash, write an email to the module's administrative assistant, Ms Marlene Taylor at 29727138@nwu.ac.za
    • in the subject line, write ICAT111 clash 
    • in your email, tell her with which other module you have a clash
    • please tell her if you are a student on the Mahikeng or the Vanderbijlpark campus
    • make sure that you give her your name and student number
