Welcome
WELCOME TO IOPS 121
Occupational Health and Ergonomics
My name is Prof Lizelle Rossouw and I will be your lecturer. I look forward to presenting this module to you in the second semester. I hope that you will enjoy this module just as much as I do!
On completion of this module you should know and understand the nature and importance of a safe and healthy working environment that enhances the quality of work life and the wellbeing of both employees and employers.
Ergonomics is also an important part of this module and here we will look at the fit between the working environment and the employee and how to better this fit. By providing an ergonomically safe working environment, employees will know that their organisation cares for them and will in turn be able to produce better results.
In order to assist you with navigating this efundi site, please familiarise yourself with all the functions on the menu bar on your left. All important information will be provided here.
Will classes be online or f2f?
This semester all our classes will be face-2-face contact classes. I look forward to seeing each and every one of you in class.
