Welcome to KCOM121. In this module you will learn about the basic tasks of a journalist, and how to write news stories. The focus is on digital journalism and convergence - journalism across various platforms.

Welkom by KCOM121. In hierdie module sal jy leer oor die basiese take van 'n joernalis en hoe om nuusstories te skryf. Die fokus is op digitale joernalistiek en konvergensie - joernalistiek op verskillende platforms.

Me / Ek

I am Andre Gouws, your lecturer. I am an academic and former journalist, editor and news designer, with many years experience in the media industry, both in South Africa and abroad. Your lessons in this module will be online. There will be regular opportunities to communicate with me and your fellow students in the eFundi chat room, as well as in the class WhatsApp group.

Jul lesse in hierdie module sal alles aanlyn wees. Daar sal baie geleenthede vir interaksie wees met my en jou mede-studente, in die eFundi-kletskamer en ook in die klas se WhatsApp-groep.
