Teaching- and learning methods in this module aim to develop aspects of self-directed learning. It is expected of students to be thoroughly prepared for each contact session, to participate during contact sessions, and to consolidate their own learning after each contact session. During practical contact sessions students will be afforded the opportunity to develop a variety of skills needed in the laboratory such as to do dissections as well as participate in a field trip. Blended- and cooperative learning strategies will be used throughout this module, with some sessions taking on a flipped classroom approach (MOD-LIFE 322, 2017).
