Overview
Welcome to ALDE 122 Computer and Information Skills at Mahikeng Campus
- ALDE122 also consists of Reading and Academic Literacy, all three components must be successfully completed to pass ALDE122.
ALDE122 is a compulsory module that all first-year students at the university have to take. Students are expected to navigate the Computer and Information Skills Module by themselves. (For any assistance, please send your queries to Mr Mashele using the eFundi messages tool
When you start with the Computer Literacy component (as soon as possible), you must log in to the e-Fundi e-learning environment and click on our community ALDE122 COM LIT Year 2020. If you do not see this site, click on the Sites-icon to the right of your screen (next to your name). All your sites will be listed there including the Computer Literacy site.
On the left side of the screen there will be a link, Module Information (or click on this link in red). Please read through this section VERY carefully. After reading it, you should have an understanding of how to go about to complete the Computer Literacy component successfully . Once you worked through this course (do this in your own time and pace within the stipulated time) you can write the semester test. This test has to be completed, with a minimum score of 40 in order to gain admission to the examination.
Deadlines:
The practice tests and the semester test are available and may already be completed. They must be completed before 31 AUGUST 2022.
Make sure that you have worked through all the lesson material and completed the 15 practice tests, before you attempt to complete the semester test. You have ONLY TWO attempts to complete the semester test and the highest mark count as your participation mark for the Computer Literacy component will be considered
Good luck!
STRICTLY keep to the cut-off date.
Please do not wait until the last minute to complete the semester test/examination.
