Topic : producing information-writing for academic purpose 

what i have learned about the topic (body of an academic text)

1. structure of academic text can be compared to burger , meaning that if you can remove one part it will not be complete , which may be said to be the same for academic text

2. when one is constructing an argumentative essay it is vital to choose one side , your essay must be one sided.

what i enjoyed 

that game we played using numbers whereby we were required to write numbers in words .

i learned a lot regarding strategies of reading such as scanning a text in search for specific information, guidelines for scanning and skimming ,how to outline main ideas and also how to make use of sources in order to sup[port your ideas .

I learned about facts and opinions and how to spot a deference between the two .

i enjoyed the part of structuring a paragraph as it will be vital and useful.

it is important to follow appropriate steps in writing process

steps include generating ideas, gathering information , synthesis and structure ,drafts , edit , final version
