Topic : producing information -writing for academic purpose

What i have learned about the topic(body of an academic text)

i learned that the structure of an academic text can be compared to a burger,meaning that if you can remove one part it wont be complete,same applies to an academic text. i also learned that when u write an argumentative essay u have to choose a side,defend position and sway the reader.i mostly enjoyed when we were playing with numbers.

What i know about the topic (Introduction of an academic text)

what i know about an introduction of an academic text is that it contains a defination of the topic,background,problem and thesis statement..what i also know is that an introduction should be able to grab a readers attention.
