I HAVE LEARNED A LOT ON AGLE,AT THE BIGINNING OF THE YEAR I KNEW ABOUT THE READING STRATEGIES,I KNEW THAT I HAD TO REFERENCE MY WORK BUT I DID NOT KNOW HOW,I KNEW THAT WHEN WRITING AN ESSAY THERE HAS TO BE AN INTRODUCTION,BODY AND CONCLUTION.WELL ABOUT THE INTRODUCTION I ONLY KNEW THAT I HAD TO DEFINE THE TOPIC BUT NOW I KNOW THAT ON THE INTRODUCTION THERE HAS TO BE A DEFINATION,BACKGROUND,PROBLEM AND A THESIS STATEMENT FOR THE TOPIC.ABOUT THE BODY,I NOW KNW THAT THERE HAS TO BE A REBUTAL STATEMENT AND A COUNTERARGUMENT.WHEN IT COMES TO REFERENCING I DID NOT KNOW A THING BUT I NOW KNOW ABOUT IN-TEXT REFERENCING AND HOW TO WRITE REFERENCE LIST.MY ACADEMIC KNOWLEDGE HAS INDEED INCREASED,I NOW KNOW A LOT ABOUT HOW TO WRITE ASSIGNMENTS SUCH AS ESSAYS AND ITS ALL THANKS TO OUR AGLE LECTURER MS K.LEKOPANYE

i learned that in an academic context,an argument is a logical reasoning by using a set of facts with the purpose of persuading the reader to accept a statement as truth.i learned that when writing an argumentative essay there has to be a counterargument and a rebuttal,as the counterargument is any argument that opposes your thesis then you use the rebuttal to show weakness in the counterargument.then there is the deductive and inductive argument,where the deductive argument is based on certain logic and inductive has no certainty

What i have learned about the topic(body of an academic text)

i learned that the structure of an academic text can be compared to a burger,meaning that if you can remove one part it wont be complete,same applies to an academic text. i also learned that when u write an argumentative essay u have to choose a side,defend position and sway the reader.i mostly enjoyed when we were playing with numbers.
