what I have learned about the topic:

i have learned how to use language formally in the academic writing, and  I have also learned that the language that we use to communicate is different to the one that we use in academic writing. I have also learned not using punctuation correctly can change the meaning of the sentence.

what i have enjoyed about the lecture:

There were papers that we were using to communicate wit the lecturer when answering questions and i enjoyed the lecture, because everyone was participating.

the strategy that was used by the lecturer was good, because every group was participating and that was the reasons everyone was able  to understand easily.

what i have learned about the topic

I have learned to easily differentiate between a fact and a opinion. The lecturer made a lot of examples to make sure that we do understand and be able to differentiate the difference between a fact and a opinion.

what i did not enjoy about the lecturer.

I was late for class and the lecturer did not gave me and other students who were late to write a short test that was written in class.

The lecturer makes lot of  examples in order for us to understand, and she also allows us to asks questions.

what i have learned about the topic

I have learned to gather information using different sources and to use different strategies such as skimming and scanning. I learned also to quote supporting ideas of the essay that i'm writing. Since I was struggling from sumarising   information from relevant sources that i use to write my essay, because of this study unit i have managed to get more information and get answers from the lecturer were i was not having clarity.

what did i enjoy about the lecture

The lecture was good, we got some examples from other essays that were showing us how to use different strategy such as scanning and skimming, we were doing it practically in class. That is what i enjoyed the most about the lecture

The lecturer must continue to use this strategy of teaching, because it makes us as 1st year students to easily understand everything that she is teaching us. 

Topic unit 2 : Processing and providing academic difficulties_finding sources

What I have learned about the topic.

I have learned the importance of referencing  and the dangers  of not referencing.Lastly  I have how to reference using different sources for example primary sources and secondary sources.

What i did not understand or want to know more about the topic

I would love to learn to differentiate the different types of referencing methods such as havard and APA.

the lecturer must teach us the difference between havard and APA since we using it most of the time in our assignments.The lecturer was angry at us,because we din't do the homework that she gave us to bring sources that we will use to support our assignment.

What I have learned about the topic 

I have learned that when I'm writing academics texts I don't have to just write without                                 planning, but I have to plan,gather information and organize what I'm going to write.

What I did or not enjoy about the lecture.

 The lecturer allows students  to engage with each other and with her during the session. Lastly she allows us us to take part in different activities as a group.That is what i liked about the lecture.
