Music play in Foundation Phase is necessary as learnersget to sing and dance and they get to explore in sound when they do music activities, it aims to improve the learners' skills in music, and by this their social interaction will be improved by this learners will be freely able to take the part in activities not only in Life Skills but other subjects.
In the scenario, Some learner was uncomfortable with the activity because they did not understand the language so it was difficult for them to be part of the activity as they did not understand the language or what is be said while singing. Then again the was religious issues, where one learner who is a girl had found it difficult to take part in the activity because it is against their religion, the are not supposed to dance (inappropriately) before boys this caused the discomfort in the learner they are the thing that the teacher didn't take into consideration.
The teacher could have chosen a song that all learners understand the language to accommodate the learners who are not familiar with the language to be part to of the activity. The teacher could have considered the song that everyone can perform to, which is not against other learners religion .The teacher can not make Muslims to take part in a Christian activity that will bring confusion to the child. In a music activity all learners must take part.
