I learnt more about holistic development and the social,intellectual abilities. I learnt art integration with other subjects and its importance, the similarities between music and various subjects for example mathematics and how you can integrate them in a foundation phase class. It was interesting for me as future foundation phase teacher to know more about the significance of Music play in foundation phase class and what kind of activities can be done.

I now know that when it comes to lesson planning what to keep in mind especially lesson planning that involves music and art.  I know more about three theories and what role they play in everyday teaching and learning.  I also realized that everything I learnt here is building necessary skills that I am going to need in the classroom as a teacher once I am qualified

Three learning theories,including Erickson phases of psychosocial development, piaget cognitive development theory and vygostky zone of proximal development are elaborated in study unit 1.it is important for learners to easily learn and have skills necessary to develop. 

Holistic development ensures the child's mental,social,physical and emotional development occurs.with music creativity and skills and focus will be improved n youngsters 

The relation between language and music is that music bring about learning of correct use of words. It promotes fluent speaking of language in learners.

Studying of Music improves ability of learners in forming pictures mentally of objects they will need in learning process.

Similarity in terms of how music relates to mathematics is that choruses in music are repeated and mathematics also has patterns that learners need to follow to solve equations and deal with numbers

Art integration encourages students to use art to demonstrate comprehension of topics and skills in a variety of subjects. 

Schools have discovered the power of the arts for teaching across the curriculum over the course of decades.

Art integration is an educational style that uses a creative-based learning and teaching process to build personal relationships in the classroom

Students who might not normally be engaged in the classroom are reached by combining art with other disciplines 

Significance of Music play in education.

Play is said to assist a child in various ways,among them ,play is one activity that helps with learners cognitive development.MUsic play is a collection of exercises that encourage students to experiment with sound and be creative with it

Play,according to Sandra stone,provides the experienced and natural learning that helps young children build their own knowledge of the world and their role in it

My perception changed because i realised how essential it is to master and make sure you keep the most important aspects in place whenever you plan a lesson as a foundation phase teacher. It also changed because aspects i developed about lesson planning especially focusing in art intergration and music. 

The value of utilising art intergration is significant it assists children to develop skills and to learn to work together. It makes learning experience quite interesting and fun for foundation phase learners.in my opinion art intergration is good for teaching and learning in foundation phase. 

The most important aspects are learning experience ,learning preference and levels of ability and interest as well as outcomes
