These are key elements mentioned creative games and skills and improvisation and interpretation.
This must be added to the caps syllabus to support one’s life skill and the foundation phase which must be implemented by teachers and be well received by children in the foundation phase. Teaching through or with music means that children must participate in all music elements such as dance, storytelling and drama. This grab attention from every individual partaking in the lesson. Art integration is a collective way of teaching a subject in the foundation phase , it can be through music, dance, art and storytelling it helps both teacher and a learner to understand a subject and relate easily. This is to get both active and more engaging in class during a lesson and be able to share their experience and their own point of view. Music seems to be more effective when coming to integration since it is complex on both physical activity and language.
Integration stimulate children and affect them in a proper way as a results to produce good results. It escalate their learning capabilities so its a need for teachers to engage leaners with integration. This will help them with how they approach challenges, how they think when when they are under pressure or increase their thinking capabilities.
As an example of integration holistic support, reading and language development, mathematics, fundamental cognitive skill and capacities, motivations to learn, effective social behavior, and school environment, these are how an integration is approached to make a lesson interesting to children in the foundation phase.
Music play an important role in integration where it should be used wisely when getting done, its set must be well prepared by the teacher from lesson to environment. Children must feel the atmosphere of what they are taught through music integration. There must be new concepts introduced so that both parties can partake in an activity, it can be through dance, asking and answering questions, physical activities etc. Integration always needs a lesson plan.
