The important aspects to keep in mind when planning a lesson are 1.  Always perform music at the beginning and the end of the lesson. 2. Make sure that music listened to in class contribute to lesson aims. 3. Always guide learners in music listening activities. 4. Make use of different teaching, learning and assessment activities in your lesson. 5. The basic structure of introduction, presentation phase and conclusion should be kept in mind in order to assist you in cognitive level activities. 6. Make use of different activities (singing, listening) to accommodate various learning styles, abilities and interests of learners. 7. Ask questions that prompt learners to find answers on their own. 8. Always identify which types and methods of assessment you will use for the lesson. 9. You and learners always reflect on teaching and learning assessment. 10, Evaluate how the lesson relate to real life situation and consider the importance of peer scaffolding.

Utilising arts integration and play in foundation phase lessons it is a good approach to use to facilitate exciting lesson that keep learners interested in the lesson at hand at all times. When learners sing and play games during a lesson they don't get bored of the lesson instead they enjoy the lesson because they learn about the content of the subject and at the same time they also learn about music.

My perception and priorities with regards to lesson planning and the inclusion of music throughout teaching and learning in foundation phase hasn't changed. Because I feel that it is important and beneficial to integrate music when teaching other subjects.

Arts integration in Foundation Phase is an approach that learners use to construct and demonstrate understand through art form. It is one of the most effective ways for learners with interests, styles, aptitudes and experience to use to form a community of learners who are taking responsibility for their own learning. Art integration is an integration of two subjects and both subjects must be experienced and engaged with at the same time within an activity.

What I found interesting in the lesson is the integration of music with other subjects to make those subjects enjoyable and interesting.

SU3: Music Play in the Foundation phase

What made some learners uncomfortable during these activities was learners didn't understand the Zulu song and other learners felt uncomfortable to dance in front of boys and to listen to house music due to religious reasonable reasons.

How I will address this issue in the future and what to change will be to think and take consideration of learners' social identities and interactions when choosing a music for the lesson. Sincewell learners are uniquely different I could group them into few groups were I will provide alternative options of music for learners to choose from and also dance activities to do.

How to accommodate diverse learner profiles in classroom and what we must be aware of it learners speak different languages..and as teachers we should be aware of the music activities we choose that the music should accomodate all learners. Another things teacher should take into consideration is learners' social identities and interactions.

Music is a facilitator of successful and exciting lesson in the classroom. Hence it is important to know what elements of music are used to create music, this way listening and responding to music will be easy and understandable. Music elements are building blocks in music. Combining different elements can create music. Tone is a music element that gives music it's characteristics sound and it differentiate between noise and music.  Basic elements include pitch, texture ,duration , quality, intensity of tone.

Other music elements are beat, melody, rhythm, meter, timbre, tempo and dynamics. All this elements are uniquely designed differently to create music that sound good and unique.
