In our increasing diverse and multicultural society its more important than ever for me as a teacher to incorparate culturally responsive instruction in the classroom wheather teaching elementary school, middle school or only relate to race and ethnicity,it can include students of different religion, economic status,sexual orientation, gender identity, and language background

fostering inclusion and awareness around multicultural education and taking a cultural responsive approach to teaching benefits all students. not only does creating greate multicultural awareness and inclusion help students with different background and needs succeed to thrive in an exponentially diverse world.

In my opinion  the most important aspects to keep in mind when planning foundation phase lesson 

Teacher need neccessary material, clear objectives,  background knowledge,  direct instruction,  student practice,  demonstration of learning.

Art integration  when done correctly transforms both the art and the subject area into a whole greater than the sum of its parts. The art provide platform through which teachers can tap into a child's creativity a d humanity while teacher teaching content material. 

Music game in foundation phase 

Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness including intellectual,  social emotional, motor,  language and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development help them  learn the sounds and meaning of word.

How do music games support holistically development?

The children with downsyndrom, music helps provide a sense of well- being and teaches social motor cognitive and conceptual skills. It offers opportunities for self expression,  self esteem and self control. The children develop their talents and strengths through music play.

Importance of game in culturally diverse classroom 

When working and learning with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures present in the classroom students gain a more comprehensive understanding of the subject Matter.  It also teaches students how to use their own strengths and points of view to contribute in a diverse working environment. 

This week I have leant a lot specially on music in foundation phase .

Probably the closest connection between music and mathematics is thatithey both use patterns.  Music has repenting choruses and sections of song and in maths patterns are used to explain and predict the unknown. 

Music in foundation phase teach learners to be disciplined and hardworking,  and serve as a personal development tool to help learners hone in the skills that already they have.
