In your opinion reflection on and synthesising all that you learnt in LSKM 221  what are the most important aspects to keep in mind when planning foundation phase lesson?

When the teacher do a lesson plan for foundation phase lesson must first start by being fun , creative to be able grab attention. Ask them questions just to test on prio knowledge then take it from there . Another another thing is that ask them questions allow them to be actively involved in discussion, allow them to challenge themselves Don't just explain everything . learners should also be allowed to demonstrate to the teacher so that the teacher can see if the lesson objectives are met. Further more teacher must be aware of the sort of assessment that is most appropriate for specific activities based on lesson outcomes, development stage and learning process. Teacher must select acceptable assessment procedures and disign and appropriate assessment form once they have style of evaluation they want to use.

This study unit give me a different perspective of being a teacher including ways to deliver a content. I was introduced to music concepts I know music ignites all areas of child development for school reading , including intellectual, social_emotion ,motor language and overall literacy.it really helps the body to work together with the mind .it exposes children to music during early development helps them to learn sound and meaning of words.

Mathematics: musical elements such as steady beat , rhythm ,melody and tempo possess inherent mathematical principles such as spatial properties, sequencing and counting.using activities to teach math will make learning more appealing and enjoyable for children.

Language; music can help kids to train words and Express much more effective. The rhythm of the music music as well as the repetitive pattern within the song  helps kids to memorize words

Art intergration is an approach to teaching in which learners construct and demonstrate understanding through an art form . Learners engage in a creative process which connects an art form and another subject area and meets evolving objectives in both.

The following are ways to intergrate art in a classroom

. Visual arts

. encourage speaking,. Listening and vocabulary development skills 

. encourage role play.

. Dramatization

Examples of music games for foundation phase is open play , original play and traditional play. Learning  music  stimulates the child,s cognitive development.  Learning and playing music inspire confidence whereby kids will fell comfortable enough to perform infront of others 

Children with passion are inspired to get in touch with their emotions. Working in team also help them to identify they weaknesses and strength so that we can help them accordingly
