Hello laugh My name is Monéne Anker. I'm 20 years old and live in Polokwane.

I am a distance student, while I study I work as a student teacher at a private school in my hometown. The shools name is Akademie Reformia. It is a small school and are very religious orientated. I enjoy it a lot to work and study at the same time, because I learn so much more than I would have learn when I would have been on campus. I learn the whole routine of being in a class and gain a lot of experience in this way. The best thing of all is that I also get a salary at this age.

At first I was a bit nervous of the LSKM 221 module, because I don't really know a lot about music and all the concepts. But I am very eager to learn so that I can use it one day in my own classroom.

Part 1:

Hiii cheeky I actually have totally forgot about this module ... Everything is just so hectic and I hope that it will not be a problem me doing it now !

Part 2:

It was interesting to learn that music lessons offers inclusive education goals.

I also like to learn about all the different elements that are used in a music lesson and what each of them means. It was also very insightful to look at all the ideas to incorporate music into a lesson.

Part 3:

A few more activities could be nice to see as you can never get enough help when it comes to this especially for me who has never taught music before, however, all in all I thought the content was very good  and it doesn't really need to be changed. It was easy to understand, fun and had a lot of good ideas for us to use in our own classrooms.

I chose indigenous African Music, because I think that it is very important to teach learners about the roots of all our cultures. Many learners do not have that exposure of indigenous African music, and do not know about the different cultural beliefs. I think that the content in learning unit is inclusive. It combines music with bodily movement, singing and body percussion. Learners will feel free to engage in these activities because it is so fun. I think that more subjects in school can include music. Suggestions is to make every learner part of the learning process. We can be very selective about music and dancing choices so that no learner is excluded with this whole process.
