I have learnt that holistic development refers to the development of intellectual physical, social, intellectual  and emotional abilities of a child in order to enable child to face or deal with the challenges in life.

  • holistic education teaches the to be creative and to have a better understanding of a subject by having connection to it.
  • holistic education helps or teaches  the child to have good communications skills
  • it develops emotional, psychological growth as well as social growth
  • it encourages learners to find out more information so that they can acquire knowledge and also enjoy learning
  • learners learn naturally and they are more engaged in a learning progress or in a lesson

LESSON PLANNING

In my own opinion i believe that making a well planned lesson plan you should make sure that it would accommodate all the learners in a class and it should also be clear and simple to be used by another teacher.

Objectives are one of the most important aspects to be included in a  lesson plan because the learns my have their guide as to what they need to learn or what knowledge should have by the end of a certain lesson.

There are certain duties that are performed by a teacher during a lesson and there are those that are performed by the learners during the lesson. For example ,we know that in a class a teacher instruct the learners and also guide them where they need help and the learners listen and do as they are instructed and they also ask clarity seeking questions .

At the end of the lesson normally a teacher will using different strategies to check the learners understanding. Those strategies can be giving learners a classwork or homework or setting a test for them in order to identify the students who need extra help .

Now when coming to LSKM 221 i have learnt that that you can integrate music in a lesson plan and also that can help the learners to remember what they have learnt quickly as they also enjoy play based learning.
